Snow Leopard Treks & Conservation Camps
At BWCDO, eco-tourism isn’t just travel—it’s a chance to immerse yourself in nature, support endangered species, and engage directly with local communities. Our snow leopard treks are designed to raise awareness, promote conservation, and offer unforgettable experiences in the stunning Karakoram and Himalayan landscapes of Gilgit-Baltistan.

Winter Snow Leopard Camp & Trek – February 2025
From February 1–9, 2025, BWCDO hosted its second Winter Snow Leopard Camp & Trek, taking participants deep into the snow leopard habitat of northern Pakistan. Over the course of nine immersive days, travelers tracked one of the world’s most elusive predators while learning about real-world conservation efforts on the ground.
This unique expedition combined wildlife monitoring, cultural exchange, and breathtaking exploration of the Karakoram and Himalayan landscapes. We’re proud to have brought together a passionate group of conservation-minded adventurers—and we’re already looking forward to what’s next.
Spring Snow Leopard Trek – 2024
In spring 2024, BWCDO organized our first-ever snow leopard conservation trek in Baltistan. Participants from Malaysia, France, Spain, and Pakistan came together to hike through the Hushe Valley, observe snow leopard habitat, and connect with local communities working on the front lines of conservation.
